Using, Super Auto Estimator Software Quantities can be calculated directly from drawings. |
Super Auto Estimator will eliminate the need to input L, B, and D values for Quantity Estimation. |
However, for Items that cannot be calculated directly from Drawings, a separate user friendly interface is provided. |
Steps in Quantity Estimation. |
In order to effectively calculate the Quantities from Autocad Drawings the following Steps need to be strictly followed : |
Step No 1 : Drawing Preparation |
This is the most important step in Calculation of Quantities. |
Drawing Preparation implies carefully arranging the drawing Components (Beam / Slab/ Column / texts etc in case of RCC / Steel Drawings and Plasters/ Walls / etc in case of Architecural Drawings) in their respective layers. |
Also text Positioning and inclination is very important aspect of Drawing preparation. |
Step No 2 : Save as DXF |
Once the Drawings are prepared for Scanning (ie to be read for Qunatity Estimation Calculation),
they should be Saved in DXF Format using Save as Option in AutoCAD. |
Step No 3 : Entering Project Details and Schedules |
In this Step the Schedules are to entered in Super Auto Estimator, either by Importing them from Excel / AutoCad/ RCF / SSF / Flat Slab Software or Entering them in Super Auto Estimator user friendly interface. |
While importing Schedules , Super Auto Estimators Specified Format for RCC + Steel Schedules and Architectural Schedules is to be strictly followed. |
In Order to Import Schedules, Autocad 2008 or Autocad LT 2008 onwards versions of AutoCAD shall be used. |
Step No 4 : Scanning and Calculating |
In this Step the Drawings are Scanned (Read) first and then the Quantity and Cost Calculation is done by Super Auto Estimator. |
The Quantities calculated can be viewed under RCC + Steel Qtys and Architectural Qtys Option. |
Step No 5 : Reports |
Reporting Includes: |
1. Project Summary (RCC + Steel) : Includes Diameter Wise Reinforcement breakup for each floor. |
2. Project Summary (Architectural) |
3. Floor Wise Quantity and Cost |
4. Total Quantity and Cost |
5. Total Cement/ Sand/ Aggregate Consumption |
6. Summary of Reinforcement |
7. Structural Steel Summary |
8. Project Summary |
